Mark Hakim began attending Oakland Hills in 2009 and became an elder in 2018. He is blessed to have grown up in a Christian family, and has been involved in ministry for many years. He and his wife Mary have two young boys. Mark works in the medical field and enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, sports, and traveling. One of his favorite Bible passages is Matthew 6:19-33, particularly verses 19-21. Grateful for the gift of Jesus Christ and eternal life through Him, Mark tries to remain mindful that our heart and focus ought to be on the eternal and God’s glory rather than things of this earth. Mark has a passion to learn more about God’s word and theology, to serve others, and for Christian education and missions.
