Ben and Carol married in 1967 and were blessed with two children and three grandchildren. He retired from Ford Motor Co. in 2002 after 36 years, then became an independent consultant for accounting and management reporting systems until 2005. Ben grew up in a small church that did not rely solely on Scripture. After marriage, he attended an EPC church for 27 years where he was introduced to Bible study and made a confession of faith in Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior in 1996. Ben and Carol began coming to OHCC in 2010 to hear a sermon series on the covenants, and joined in 2011. Ben went on to serve the church as Treasurer beginning in 2012, Trustee in 2014, and Elder in 2014. He retired from service as Treasurer and Trustee in 2019 and has retired as a member of Session in 2020.
